For The 2007 programme was divided into three sections: speed-meetings, workshops and seminars.
The Maritime Partenariate, which took place in Uddevalla on 21-21 March, led to many new meetings and contacts for the 160 participants from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia and China.
Participants at the contact fair were mainly representatives of companies in the maritime industry, in the regions around Skagerrak and Kattegatt, but also politicians, business managers and representatives from research and development participated.
Also in attendance was a delegation from the Province of Hubei in China, led by Madame Lin from the Ministry of Communications.
Speed-meetings
So-called ”speed-meetings” were part of the programme – short, effective meetings – but also various seminars, workshops and company visits. On Thursday there was also a study trip to Uddevalla’s largest company, Pininfarina Sverige AB, which manufacturers the Volvo convertible C70.
The organizers of the fair were The Scandinavian Triangle and the Västra Götaland (Western Gothenburg) region in cooperation with Uddevalla municipality and Fyrbodals kommunalförbund (local government association).
Many satisfied participants
- The Partenariate was a great success, said Kerstin Hindrum, project coordinator.
- Most participants were very satisfied with the event. They felt the meetings were very beneficial and had made many new contacts. Our seminars and workshops were also well attended. We will now make an evaluation of the event to decide which way to go in the future. It is obvious that there is a great demand for cooperation across the borders in the maritime industry!
