APC is the manufacturer of the well-known and patented high-performance MarineLine® coatings that are used to line and protect the tanks of chemical and product carriers.
MarineLine® was first applied to a chemical cargo ship in 1994, allowing the vessel to receive IMO Class I designation. The ship immediately starting carrying a wide range of chemical cargoes including Methanol, Acids, CPPs, and Caustics. The coating was based on polymer technology that the company had pioneered for a number of space-age applications. Since that time, more than 350 chemical tankers have now utilized the MarineLine® coating system to carry thousands of different types of aggressive chemicals including the full range of IMO chemicals.
The company is now introducing the new MarineLine® X coating, which uses a non-forced heat cure to provide product/parcel tanker owners who trade in the CPP, Easy Chemical, Bio Fuels and Vegetable Oils markets, a product that offers them greater versatility and chemical resistance than any phenol epoxy or zinc coating on the market today and at a comparable cost.
