Maritime Partenariate

ST PETERSBURG 2006

As a result of discussions during the Partenariates in 2004 and 2005, a mini-partenariate was arranged in St. Petersburg on 10-13 October, 2006.

About 15 Scandinavian companies met about 40 Russian companies. The practical details of the mini-partenariate were arranged by Innovation Norway’s Russian representative, Nikolay Shavrov and the Danish Consulate, led by Lene la Cour Dessler.

A total of 165 meetings were arranged and most Scandinavian companies made contacts for future business. The invited Russians were very keen to participate and the Scandinavian participants all agreed that many of the contacts made would have been impossible to achieve if they had been acting alone.

Contacts made here will hopefully result in a number of Russian businesses participating in the Maritime Partenariate Scandinavia in Uddevalla, 2007.

Company visits
During our stay we made a few company visits. Partly at Baltiysky Shipyard and Central Design Bureau " Baltshipproject", a sub-division of the Krylov Institute.

Workshop at Maritime Partenariate in Uddevalla
For those who are interested in finding out more about the Russian market, there will be an opportunity at the Maritime Partenariate Scandinavia in Uddevalla, where Nikolay Shavrov, Norwegian Innovation, will hold a workshop.
