DBI's core competencies include fire and security technology. Services include testing, fire and safety consultancy, certification, courses and training. We have a tradition for testing materials, components and constructions for ships (IMO, ISO etc). DBI is officially recognised by the administrations of leading maritime nations, including test authorization by the U.S. Coast Guard. DBI is Notified Body for fire protection equipment within the framework of the Marine Equipment Directive (MED).
