Atlantis Deepwater concept is based on the simple principle of extending well casings upwards from the seabed to a submerged buyant tank, Artificial Buoyant Seabed, where the BOP and subsea wellheads are to be located. By establishing a subsea platform at a shallow water depth for installation of drilling and production equipment, the rig operators can be carried out more quickly and safely in deep and ultra-deep waters and it is possible to use shallow water equipment and procedures.
